Maggie L. McKinley, 92, of Nederland, died Sunday, December 11, 2011, at Mid-Jefferson Extended Care in Nederland. She was born May 27, 1919 to Ora Woods and Jeff Sanford in Hemphill.
Maggie enjoyed traveling, fishing, cooking, playing bridge, square dancing and round dancing. She was a wonderful loving mother who was caring and giving.
She is survived by her daughter, Alice Frederick and her husband, Charles of Sour Lake; son, Reagan McKinley and his wife, Delia of Nederland; grandchildren, Jacob McKinley, Ashley Payne and her husband, Kevin, Glen Adkins and David Wilcox; great grandchildren, Shaley Knight, Taylor Paul, Cooper Wilcox, and Ben Wilcox; and brother, Leon T. Sanford of Beaumont.
Maggie is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Joseph L. McKinley.
Her funeral service will be Thursday, December 15, 2011, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland, with entombment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of her family and friends will be from12:00 Noon until the time of service Thursday, December 15, 2011, at Broussard’s.
