Karen Ann Simank Wright, 74, of Beaumont, died Saturday December 10, 2011. She was born September 25, 1937, in LaGrange, to Katherine Sieble Simank and Kermit Simank. She moved to Beaumont in 1979 and enjoyed many blessed years with family and friends.
Karen loved to dance, play the piano, read and share the Word of God with all those around her. She was an inspiration to all that knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. We have the peace in knowing that we will be reunited in eternal life with her and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Survivors include her loving husband of fifty-one years, Dr. David J. Wright of Beaumont; son, Derik “Chip” Wright and his wife, Jill of Robinson; daughter, Kami Barnett and her husband, David of Beaumont; grandchildren, Dillon Wright, Jonathan Barnett and Caroline Barnett.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3810 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at Broussard’s.
