Gloria Ruth Duhon, 80, of Winnie died December 5, 2011, at the Winnie Community Hospital.
A life long resident of Winnie area, Gloria was born on January 17, 1931, to her parents John and Aline Magee. She was a retired bookkeeper with the Winnie Pharmacy and enjoyed crocheting and playing the piano. Gloria will be remembered as a loving mother and wife who never met a stranger.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Willie Duhon, of Winnie; sons, Glen Duhon of Winnie, Mike Duhon and his wife, Cathy of Hankamer and Darrell Duhon and his wife, Rene of Leesville, Louisiana; grandchildren, Wesley Duhon and his wife, Nicole, Melanie Duhon and their mother, Sabrina, Ashley Duhon, April Randi and her husband, Bruce, Clint Allen and his wife, Holly, Tanner Nance, and Ashley Nance; great-grandchildren, Aiden Duhon, Eli Allen and Lola Allen.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church of Winnie-Stowell, 1708 Hwy 124 with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, December 7, 2011 at Broussard’s.
