Phil Collins, 66, of Nederland, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Born January 17, 1945, to Bonnie O’Bannon and Ramie Charles Collins, he was a lifelong resident of the area. Phil was a 1963 graduate of Nederland High School and also served his country with the United States Air Force. He was employed as an operator with Sun Oil Refinery for over seventeen years. His passion was hunting and being in the woods, enjoying all that nature had to offer.
Phil is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Dillard and her husband, Kirk of Orange; granddaughter, Callie Sattler; and sister, Betty Jo Fults of Nederland. He leaves behind a host of friends.
Phil is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Shirley Miller.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
