Mary Catherine “Dolly” Simon, 96, of Stowell died on November 27, 2011, at the Jefferson Nursing Home and Rehabilitation of Beaumont.
She was born December 10, 1914, in Patton, Texas, to James Troy Stidham and Bonnie Blalock Stidham. Mary enjoyed her flower garden especially her roses and being with her loved ones.
She is survived by her loving husband, Wallace Simon of Stowell; great-nephews, Stevie Jenkins and his wife Roxanne of Lumberton and Johnny Jenkins of Beaumont; step-sons, Andrus Simon and his wife, Claudean, Alvin Simon and his wife, Alice, Russell Simon and his wife, Mary all of Winnie, and Ray Simon and his wife, Carolyn of Hamshire; step-daughter, Diane Zambardino and her husband, Mike of Beaumont; nine step-grandchildren; eighteen step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at First United Methodist Church of Winnie-Stowell, 1708 Hwy 124 with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie. A gathering of her family and friends will be at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening November 29, 2011, at Broussard’s.
