Margaret A. Broussard, 80, of Winnie, died Monday, November 28, 2011, at Winnie Community Hospital, Winnie.
She was born June 13, 1931, in Eldorado, Kansas, to Eva Krutsinger Rodenkirch and Joseph Rodenkirch, and had lived in the Beaumont area since 1943. She was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.
Survivors include her son, Randal Broussard and his wife, Tina of Winnie; grandchildren, Chris Broussard of Winnie and Daniel Broussard of Brenham; step grandchildren, Chris Smart of Winnie and Justin Smart of Beaumont; sisters, Josephine Elliott and Barbara Smith and her husband, Vernon of Houston; and her aunt, Clodine Britting.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Broussard; parents, Eva Mae and Joseph H. Rodenkirch; sisters, Eva Marie Richardson, Loretta Patton and Rita Londers; and brothers, Joseph E. and John Rodenkirch.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 2, 2011, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 4445 Avenue A, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m., with a gathering of her family and friends to follow, Thursday, December 1, 2011, at Broussard’s.
