Leona Tyler, 82, of Silsbee died Saturday, November 26, 2011, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Leona had lived in the Silsbee area since 1958. She was a home maker.
She is survived by her husband, Manuel Tyler Sr. of Silsbee; son, Manuel Tyler Jr. and his wife, Betty of Silsbee; grandchildren, Angela Tyler of Houston and Manuel Tyler, III of Silsbee; great grandchild, Octavian Tyler of Silsbee; and sisters, Leola Fay Gilbert of Kirbyville, Dorothy Davis, and Ruby Fondal and her husband, Bo all of Dequincy, Louisiana.
Leona is preceded in death by father and mother, Mitchel and Addie Williams; son, Mitchel Tyler; and sisters, Teddie Williams, Velma Williams, and Marie Harmon.
A graveside service will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at Spikes Cemetery in Bancroft, Louisiana. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday, November 30, 2011, 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
