Richard Fertitta, Sr.
October 8, 1936 - November 27, 2011

Richard Paul Fertitta, Sr., 75, of Beaumont, passed away on November 27, 2011, with his family by his side.  Richard was born on October 8, 1936, in Beaumont, where he lived his entire life. He graduated from St. Anthony High School and was a member of the National Guard.  Richard was an avid golfer and owned the Nevada Bob’s franchise in Beaumont for several years. He also loved fishing and woodworking.

 

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Josie and Sam Fertitta; brothers, Anthony and Joe; and by his sister, Marie. 

 

Blessed with a large family, Richard is survived by his wife, Becky; three daughters and three sons: Cindy Fertitta of Allen; Cathy Lippe and her husband, Marcus of Allen; Stacey Perez and her husband, Ed of Jacksonville, Florida; Paul Fertitta and his wife, Kim of St. Augustine, Florida; Michael Fertitta and his wife, Betty Jo of Silsbee; and Chris Fertitta of Beaumont.  In addition he leaves ten grandchildren: Rebecca Fertitta of Beaumont, Brandi Fertitta, Tricia Lopez, Erin Forbes, Kyle Lippe, Kimberly Lippe, Rachel Lippe, Sam Fertitta, Dominic Fertitta and Jack Spurlock.

 

A gathering of his family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Broussard’s. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with a committal to follow at Broussard’s Crematorium, 5150 Stivers Drive, Beaumont.
