Norma Gayle Weaver, 65, of Lumberton died Sunday, November 27, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 25, 1946, in Lewisville, Texas to Morris and Willie R. (Meyka) Blades. A resident of Lumberton for the last four years, she was the Bakery-Deli manager at Market Basket in Lumberton. Norma was also a member of Lumberton Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Weaver of Lumberton; daughter, Tracey Gibson of Kountze; son, John Gaines of Spurger; brothers, Robert Blades and Milton Blades both of Atlanta, Georgia, Junior Sontag of Spurger; sisters, Barbara Blades and Ann Reese both of Spurger, and Kay Blades of Livingston; twenty-one grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Her memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze, with Mr. Kevin O’Malley officiating. A gathering of her family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. and continue until time of service. Cremation arrangements are being handled under the direction of Broussard’s Crematorium.
