Thelma Mae Humphrey

Thelma Mae Humphrey, 95, of Anahuac, died Friday, November 18, 2011. A native and lifelong resident of Double Bayou Community, she was born May 23, 1916, to Beatrice Raymond and Solomon C. Gill, Jr.
Survivors include sons: Archie Humphrey Jr. (Dolly) of Double Bayou, Calvin Humphrey (Willie Cargo) of Wallisville, Bobby Humphrey of Houston, and Dennis Humphrey of Angleton; daughters: Cora Rivon (R.V.), Roberta Whittington (David), Regina Lewis (Jerry) all of Double Bayou, and Willar Williams of Anahuac; sister, Ethel Gill of Double Bayou; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and eleven great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Archie Humphrey, Sr.; sons, Roger, Charles, Curtis, and Wilmer Humphrey.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at Martha Godfrey Cemetery, on Church Street, Double Bayou under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer, Winnie.
