Tammye Arnold Kennedy, 52, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, formerly of Sour Lake, died Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
She was born March 20, 1959, in Kountze, to Doris E. Hatton Arnold and Clarence M. Arnold, and had lived most of her life in Sour Lake before residing in Denham Springs, Louisiana. Tammye enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, and embroidery work.
Survivors include her husband, John Malcolm Kennedy of Denham Springs, Louisiana; sons, Charles Bennett Kennedy and John Luke Kennedy, both of Denham Springs, Louisiana; parents, Dot and Clarence Arnold of Sour Lake; mother-in-law, Jean Kennedy Pace; brother, Rusty Arnold and his wife, Paige of Sour Lake; sisters-in-law, Joelle Anders, Lorrilea Grantham and her husband, Steve, and Melissa Ames and her husband Mark, all of Sour Lake; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Sour Lake, 325 W. 7th Street, Sour Lake, with interment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will begin at 4:00 p.m., Friday, November 18, 2011, at Broussard’s.
