Percy "Sam" Lee Antoine

Percy Lee “Sam” Antoine, 64, of Port Arthur, passed away November 9, 2011, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.  Born May 22, 1947, to Lorena Julian and Frank Antoine in Rayne, Louisiana, he had been a resident of the Port Arthur area for the last twenty years.  Percy was a people person and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed cooking, throwing parties and most of all loved being with his family.     He is survived by his sisters, Ree Ether Carter of Port Arthur, Ree Ella Smith of Port Arthur, Lillie Mae Turner of Houston, and Anna Lee Scott of San Diego, California; brothers, Wilbert Antoine of Portland, Oregon, Felton Antoine of Port Arthur, Sterling Antoine of San Diego, California, Nolan Antoine of Chicago, Illinois and Edward Antoine of Jackson, Mississippi; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.   Percy is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Loretta Jackson and Theresa Patton; and brother, Ernest Antoine.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011, at St. James Catholic Church, 3617 Gulfway Drive, Port Arthur, with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Port Arthur, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.  A gathering of his family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service, Saturday, November, 19, 2011, at the church.
