Carroll Walter Harvey, Jr.

Carroll Walter Harvey, Jr., 68, of Sour Lake, died Tuesday, November 8, 2011.  He was born January 14, 1943, in Beaumont, to Undean Dunn Harvey and Carroll Wesley Harvey, and had been a lifelong resident of the area.  Mr. Harvey was a United States Army veteran and he was a retired maintenance supervisor with Mobil Oil.

Survivors include his wife, of forty-five years, Norma Lee Harvey of Sour Lake; sons, Keith Harvey and his wife, Antonette of Spring and Derek Harvey and his wife, Ashley of Sour Lake; five grandchildren, Brittani Harvey, T.J. Harvey, Chelsea Harvey, Delaney Harvey, and Ryland Harvey; brother, Robbin Harvey; and sisters, Patricia Gillies, Jeanette Hebert and Wanda Stephens.

His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2011, First Baptist Church, 325 W. 7th Street, Sour Lake, with interment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 11, 2011, at Broussard’s.
