Kenneth Warren Cook, 84, of Winnie died November 7, 2011, at the Winnie Community Hospital. He was born on July 16, 1927, in Port Arthur to Alfonso and Beulah Cook.
Kenneth worked as a supervisor for Texaco before retiring. He enjoyed playing golf, bird hunting, fresh water fishing, gardening and was a United States Navy veteran. Kenneth loved being with his family and friends.
He is survived by his sons, Wayne Cook and his wife, Katherine of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Pete Cook of Houston; daughter, Tina Fertitta of Beaumont; sister, Betty Latimer of Groves; grandchildren, Amanda Fertitta, Wes Cook, Travis Cook, Lauren McAdams and her husband, Shelby, Christa Bartlett and her husband, Rob, Brandon “B. J.” Cook and his wife, Alexis, Jeremy Cook and his wife, Rebecca; great-grandchildren, Robert and Sarah Bartlett, Shawn, Nicole, Megan and Ashley Cook, and Kaleigh Ann McAdams; and numerous relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso Wesley Cook and Beulah Hammond Cook; wife, Mildred Loesch Cook; and brother, Ted Cook.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 12, 2011, at Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive, in Winnie with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at Broussard’s.
