Daniel “Pop” Lee Segura, Sr., 60, of Beaumont, died Monday, November 7, 2011, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. Pop was born in Galveston to Emily Gomez Segura and Octivio Segura on October 31, 1951.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Varela Segura; son, Daniel Segura, Jr.; daughter, Melinda Segeada; granddaughters, Denise Segura, Lissette Segada and Reyna Segada; grandson, Daniel Segura III, all of Beaumont; sisters, Jean Segura and Doris Segura, both of Houston; brother, Johnny Segura of Pasadena; half-brother, Rick Garcia and Ramie Garcia, both of Houston; and half-sisters, Liz Land of Houston and Cindy Torres of Pearland.
His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 11, 2011, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont, with burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, 2291 Pine Street, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 10, 2011, at Broussard’s.
