Masel "M.R." Ray Petree, Sr.

Masel Ray “M.R.” Petree, Sr., 87, of Liberty, formerly of Beaumont, died Friday, November 4, 2011, at Liberty Health Care.
He was born July 15, 1924, in Sour Lake, to Maude Elizabeth Perry and Walter Lee Petree, and had been a lifelong resident of the Beaumont/Liberty area. Mr. Petree was a United States Army veteran having served in the Pacific Theater during World War II, and was a retired field gauger from Chevron.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Petree of Liberty; son, Ray Petree and his wife, Debra of Beaumont; his grandchildren, Derek Petree, Jaime Petree and Hunter Petree; and by his four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son, Barry; two grandsons; and his parents.
His graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2011, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
