Pete "Uncle Pete" Paul Sala

Pete “Uncle Pete” Sala, 90, of Beaumont, died Thursday, November 3, 2011, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont.
Pete was a lifelong resident of Beaumont. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and later retired as an automobile mechanic.
He is survived by his son, David Sala and his wife, Betty of Beaumont; grandson, Peter Paul Sala of Beaumont; nephews, Dr. Anthony Sala and his wife, Nancy, Gerard Sala and his wife, Barbara, Vincent Sala and his wife, Kim, and Paul Sala; and numerous other nephews, nieces, and other family members.
Pete is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Sala; parents, Mary and Tony Sala; brothers, Vincent Sala and Frank Sala; nephew, Joe Sala; and niece, Sister Mary Lucille Sala.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1115 Orange Street, Beaumont with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 Major Drive, Beaumont. A Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2011, followed by a gathering of his family and friends, at Broussard’s.
