Gussie Bourque, 97, of Beaumont, died Sunday, October 30, 2011, at home surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born July 11, 1914, in Lafayette, Louisiana, to Hilda and Walter Peck, and had been a resident of Port Arthur for many years before moving to Beaumont nine years ago.
Survivors include her daughter, Rochelle Bond and her husband, Lynn; grandchildren, Jordan Bond and Allison Mabry; and sister, Marion Lee.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gus Bourque; and her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder Avenue, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. There will be a reception following the service at St. Anne Parish Hall.
A family committal will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Hospice, 2450 North Major Drive, Beaumont, Texas 77713.
