Bertha Boudreaux, 89, of Winnie died October 29, 2011, at the Arboretum of Winnie.
She was born on July 13, 1922, in Crowley, Louisiana, and has lived in the Winnie area for eighty years. Bertha enjoyed making arts and crafts, sewing and will be remembered for her cooking for family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Edna Mae Simon and her husband, Norris, Betty Ann Boudreaux all of Winnie, and Alice Joyce Broussard and her husband, J. C. of New Iberia, Louisiana; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Jamia Istre of Winnie and numerous relatives and friends.
Bertha was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Boudreaux; parents, Pierre and Clovenia Cradeur; son, Leo Boudreaux, Jr. and grandson, Timothy Thomas.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2011, at Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie with burial at Fairview Cemetery. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening, October 30, 2011, at Broussard's.
