Mary Ruth DeCuir, 80, of Beaumont, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011, after fighting a battle with cancer.
She was born February 8, 1931, in Burlington, Vermont, to Rhoda Wells Allen and Leslie Allen, and had been a resident of Beaumont since 1986.
Mary Ruth is survived by her children, Debbie Bourgeois and her husband Richard of Beaumont; Bruce DeCuir and his wife, Kay of Nederland; Bobby DeCuir of Katy; and Stephanie Patty and her husband, Devin of Niceville, Florida; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Christy McLaughlin, Amie Price and her husband, Thad, Michelle Bourgeois, Katy Austin, Hayden McLaughlin, Karla DeCuir, Kahla DeCuir, Kasey Vernon, Kyler Price, Shane Patty, Kirby Tanner, and Karleigh Price; sisters, Marilyn Benton and Betty Yates both of Burlington, Vermont; and brothers, David Allen, James Allen and William Allen.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of forty years, Carl Nixon DeCuir; brothers, Jerry Allen and Jack Allen; and granddaughter, Shauna Austin.
Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 27, 2011, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, prior to her service at Broussard’s.
A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
