Joseph Buck Persohn, Jr., 78, of Beaumont died Saturday, October 22, 2011, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, he was born June 25, 1933, and retired from Dollinger Steel as chief draftsman. J.B. graduated in 1951 from Beaumont High School. He enjoyed his retired years spending time at the Wellness Center exercising and playing racquetball. He also enjoyed playing bridge at the Beaumont Bridge Studio.
Survivors include his wife, June Rose Persohn of Beaumont; children, Patty Lynn Spitzer and her husband Corbin of Fulshear and Joseph B. Persohn III and his wife, Lenita of Beaumont; and grandchildren, Connor Spitzer and his wife, Jessica, Lexy Spitzer, Joseph Persohn IV, Joshua Persohn, and Jason Persohn.
His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 24, 2011, at Broussard’s.
