Harry Peyton Myers, 65, died October 20, 2011, at his home in Hamshire after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on July 31, 1946, in Marshall, Texas and on August 2, 1969, he married Rhonda Michaelsen.
Harry served in the United States Coast Guard for four years and has lived in the Beaumont and Hamshire areas since 1974. He was owner operator of Myers Truck Repair and Myers Driveshaft. Harry retired this year after managing Dr. Driveshaft for seven years
He is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda Myers; sons, Keith Myers and his wife, Susan and Klint Myers and his wife, Samantha all of Hamshire; grandchildren, Peyton, Dillon , Karson, and Konner; brother, Donnie; sisters, Nancy, Sandra, Rosie, Vickie and Sally; and numerous relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Olen and Iola Duncan Myers; brothers, Billy, Grady, and Micky; and sister, Peggy.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2011, at Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive, in Winnie. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service. Cremation was under the direction of Broussard’s in Winnie.
