Jerry Anton Lezak, Sr

Jerry A. Lezak Sr., 77, of Winnie died October 13, 2011 at The Arboretum.  Born May 19, 1934 in El Maton, Texas, and a resident of Winnie for many years, he was the son of Claudia Sivek Lezak and Jerry Pete Lezak.  Jerry was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict and retired from Equistar after many years of service.  He will be remembered for his garden and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and had a green thumb.    He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Patsy Lezak of Winnie; sons, Andy Lezak and his wife, Tammy and Mike Lezak and his wife, Trini all of Winnie; grandchildren, Donald Hooks, Mark Lezak, Kristen Lezak, Justin Lezak and Jarred Lezak; great grandchildren, Zamean Hooks, Kylie Manuel, Savannah Lezak, Michael Manuel, Bryce Lezak and Howie Manuel; brothers, Ed Lezak, Marion Lezak and Bobby Lezak; sisters, Dolores Landsman, Evelyn Landry, and Lavergne “Chita” Tagtmyer; and many nieces, nephews and friends.    Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Pete and Claudia Lezak; sister, AnnaMae Lezak; brother, Anthony Lezak; and grandsons, Cody and Caleb Lezak.  

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive, Winnie followed by burial at Fairview Cemetery.  A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday evening, October 15, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
