John "Pop" Robert Leger

John “Pop” Leger, 71, of LaBelle died October 9, 2011, at his residence.
He was born to Clarence and Lena Leger on December 23, 1939, in Winnie and was a retired boiler maker for J. B Industries.
John is survived by his wife, Linda Leger of LaBelle; son, John Leger and his wife, Jane of Fannett; daughter, Theresa Leger of Vidor; brother, David Wayne Leger and his wife, Ann; sister, Roberta Gillie; grandchildren, Taylor Saleme, Kaitlin Saleme, and Ryan Leger; step-grandchildren, Connor Brown and Claire Brown; and numerous relatives and friends.
The family would like to especially thank the staffs of Altus Hospice, Beaumont, Texas and Cancer Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur, Texas for all of their kindness and care.
Cremation was handled through Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie.
