Alton B. Wiggins, Sr.

Alton B. Wiggins, Sr., 83, of Beaumont died Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a retired purchasing and material handler for Sun Oil Company and Bethlehem Steel.
Alton is survived by his daughters, Sharon Tidwell and her husband, Ron of Beaumont and Kaletah Brown and her husband, Greg of Georgetown; son, Alton Wiggins, Jr. and his wife, Andreia of Missouri City; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister, Cora Roberts of San Marcos; and brother-in-law, Tom Hebert of Charenton, Louisiana.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Hebert Wiggins; and granddaughter, Kristi Lauren Brown.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder Avenue, Beaumont, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction, Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be Monday, October 10, 2011, 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Christian Vigil to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Broussard’s.
