John Autry Hodges, 90, of Beaumont, died Saturday, October 08, 2011, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.  Born September 5, 1921, in Pelham, Alabama to Mary Byars Hodges and Joseph Hodges, he was a retired body repairman. He was a United States Army Veteran having served in World War II, the 3rd Army, 5th Infantry Division and 32nd Degree Mason with South Park Lodge 1320.

 

Survivors include his wife of sixty-six years, Dorothy Hodges of Beaumont; sons, John Hodges and his wife, Julianne of Kirbyville, Bill Hodges and his wife, Lynda of Magnolia, and James Hodges and his wife, Marigay of Groves; grandchildren, Allen Hodges, Benjamin Hodges, Kim Wegner, Troy Wright, Russell Fluker, Nathan Fluker, and Shelby Fluker; and great-grandchildren, Dwayne Wright, Hailey Legner, Zachary Legner, and Caden Fluker.

 

His graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2011, at Haven of Rest Cemetery, Hwy. 90, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
