Reverend Kenneth Earl Weatherford, Sr., 68, of Beaumont, died Friday, September 30, 2011, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.
He was born March 11, 1943, in Jasper, to Verlene Fields Weatherford and Archael Lee Weatherford, and had been a resident of the Beaumont area most of his life.
Survivors include his wife of forty-five years, Phyllis Karen Weatherford of Beaumont; sons, Kenneth Earl Weatherford, Jr. and his wife, Denise S. of Fredericksburg; Edward Earl Weatherford and his wife Donna L. of The Woodlands; Philip Earl Weatherford and his wife, Amy L. of Lumberton; and Jonathan Earl Weatherford of Beaumont; daughter, Elizabeth Suzette Warren and her husband, Charles of Beaumont; mother, Frankie Louise Sue Weatherford of Beaumont; grandchildren, Nathan Bradley, Sterling Smith, Asher O’Neill, Edward Jordan, Dylan Blake, Mackenzie Nicole, Cameron Philip, Haley Brook, Maizy Caroline, and Joseph Ryan; and his aunt, Jessie Weatherford Conn of West Orange.
He is preceded in death by his father, Archael Weatherford.
His memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at Praise Christian Center, 8325 Walker Road, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon prior to the service at the church.
A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
