Brandon Chase Gutierrez, 28, of Vidor, died Thursday, September 29, 2011, in Etoile, Texas. He was born July 8, 1983, in Galveston, to Susan Kerr and Jaime Gutierrez and was a ship fitter. Brandon attended New Life Worship Center Church in Lufkin.
He enjoyed fishing and Sprint car racing. Brandon loved the outdoors and working with his hands.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Susan Kerr and Robert Crouch of Beaumont; father and step-mother, Jaime and Lori Gutierrez of Vidor; grandparents, Raymond and Mary Gutierrez of Rose City; brothers, Jaime Dean Gutierrez and Sean Crouch, both of Beaumont; step-brothers, Phillip Leatherwood and Jimmy Leatherwood both of Vidor; step-sister, Casey Leatherwood of Vidor; cousin, Bobby Bruce Clark and his wife, Ashley of Etoile; and many other loving cousins, aunts, uncles, family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bobby Dean and Melba Maurine Kerr.
His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2011, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with interment to follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 2, 2011, at Broussard’s.
