George F. Moses, Jr., 90, of Beaumont, died Thursday, September 29, 2011, at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown.
He was born February 19, 1921, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Myra Scott Moses and George F. Moses, Sr., and had been a resident of the Beaumont area since 1930. Mr. Moses was a retired Inspector with the City of Beaumont Water Department and was an Army Air Corps veteran having served in the Aleutian Campaign during World War II.
Survivors include his sons, Jerald Moses and his wife, Marion of Baytown, and Russell Moses and his wife, Norma of Beaumont; brother, Herbert Moses of Pasadena; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Margie Hines Moses.
His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at Broussard’s.
