Wes Greer, 35, of Sour Lake, died Wednesday, September 28, 2011. He was born August 16, 1976, to Connie Buckner Greer and Ronald Wesley Greer, and had been a lifelong resident of the area.
Wes graduated from Hardin-Jefferson High School in 1994. He also received his Fire Fighters Certificate from Lamar University. Wes enjoyed fishing, cooking and spending time with his wife, family and friends. His greatest passion was spending time with his son, Trent. Wes built a career in the automotive industry and was a service advisor for Mike Smith Auto Plaza.
Wes is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Wesley Greer.
Survivors include his wife, Stella Greer and their son, Trent, both of Sour Lake; parents, Connie and Virgil Rasa of Sour Lake; sisters, Rhonda Greer of Fort Worth and Kristi Greer West and her husband, Rex of China; grandmother, Margaret Creel of Silsbee; and nephew, Hayden Greer of China.
His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 1, 2011, at Calvary Baptist Church, 3650 Dowlen Road, Beaumont with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 30, 2011, at Broussard’s.
