Wilda Yentzen Watkins

Wilda Yentzen Watkins, 83, of Vidor, died Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. 

 

She was born October 17, 1927, in Bon Wier, to Mollie Hughes Birdsong and I.D. Birdsong, and had been a lifelong resident of Beaumont. Mrs. Watkins retired customer service representative with Sego Exterminators.

 

Survivors include her husband, Bill Watkins, Jr. of Vidor; sons, Glenn Yentzen, Jr. and his wife, Ella of Sour Lake; Ronnie Yentzen of Lumberton; and Gary Yentzen and his wife, Michelle of Sour Lake; daughter, Mollie Busceme and her husband, Charlie of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Michael Yentzen and his wife, Jenny, Amy Yentzen, Megan Miller and her husband, Chaney, Ashley Glenn and her husband, Cody, Jacob Yentzen, Reid Yentzen, Raven Weston and her husband, Steve, and Cara Busceme; great-grandson, Holden Yentzen; sister-in-law, Dorothy Yentzen; her extended family, Bill Watkins, Jr. and his wife, Shirley, Keith Watkins and his wife, Renee, and Laurie Killam and her husband, Ron; and many nieces and nephews.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Glenn Yentzen, Sr.

 

Her memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2011, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 4265 East Lucas, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

 

A committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
