James "Jimmy" W. Puckitt
November 14, 1931 - September 25, 2011

James “Jimmy” W. Puckitt, 79, of Beaumont, died Sunday, September 25, 2011.  Born November 14, 1931, to Vivian Phillips and Lloyd Alton Puckitt in Jasper, he was a resident of the Mid-County area since 1942.  Jimmy was a professional musician and enjoyed playing guitar, singing, and also loved to hunt and fish. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served with special services.

 

Jimmy is survived by his brothers, Eual Lee Puckitt of Kountze and Alton Eugene Puckitt of Lumberton; sisters, Mary Francis Conn of San Antonio and Ethel Fay Perretta of San Diego, California; granddaughter, Pamela Puckitt Bravine; and several nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his son, Randy Puckitt; and brother, Jeff Puckitt.

 

His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 29, 2011, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland, with burial to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 29, 2011, at Broussard’s.
