Julie Anne Bishop, 56, left this world on May 1, 2011, to join her Lord and Savior.
Julie was born in Beaumont, Texas, to Geraldine and Bruce H. Bishop. She was their firstborn and they loved her very much. Julie moved with her family to Houston as a child. As a teenager she enjoyed the music, fashion and excitement of the 1960’s with her many friends. Julie also had a unique love of animals and spent many years volunteering for animal rescue organizations.
Julie was that rare combination of beauty, intelligence, and humor. She graduated from the University of Houston and became an accountant. However, her true calling in life was to be a good mother. She loved her girls Allison and Kelly and devoted her time and energy to their upbringing. Julie also was blessed to know and love her grandson Zachary. Her family will remember her most for her strong spirit that carried her through life.
Julie was preceded in death by her father, Bruce H. Bishop.
She is survived by her mother, Geraldine; aunt, Nadine; daughters, Allison Davis Ditto and her husband, Clint Ditto, and Kelly Davis Baylan, M.D. and her husband, Joseph Baylan, M.D.; grandson, Zachary Ditto; brother, Bill and his wife, Denise; sister, Jill; nephews, Sean, Alex, and Joseph; and niece, Jennifer; as well as many other family members and friends.
Our utmost respect and infinite thanks goes to Nadine Hester, “Aunt De,” who cared for and stayed with Julie Anne day and night.
A private graveside service for the family will be held at Magnolia Cemetery, 2291 Pine Street, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont.
