Louis A. Rennick, 87, of Lumberton died Saturday, April 23, 2011, in Kerens, Texas.
A native of Bokoshe, Oklahoma, he lived in the Lumberton area for over fifty years where he worked as an ironworker. He retired from Ironworkers Local #135. Louis also served his country in the United States Army and was a World War II Veteran. Louis was in the 82nd Airborne Company B 517th Parachute Infantry. He received World War II Victory Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Ribbon, EAME Theater Ribbon, and the Bronze Service Star.
Louis is survived by his children, Judy Biano and her husband Harold of Sour Lake, Richard Rennick and his wife Mary of Richardson, Debra Schneider and her husband Steve of Kerens, Beverly Perkins and her husband Frank of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Pam Christy and her husband John of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Brent Rennick and his wife Freda of Gainesville, and Tammy Mitchell and her husband Mark of Lumberton; twenty-two grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; brother, Everette Rennick of Keota, Oklahoma; and sister, Irma Howard of Claremore, Oklahoma.
A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Old Hardin Cemetery, Hwy 326, Kountze under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, April 29, 2011, 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
