Will T. Harper, Jr.
December 23, 1939 - April 18, 2011

Will T. Harper, Jr., 71, of Rose City died Monday, April 18, 2011, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.  He was born December 23, 1939, in Beaumont to Will T. and Olga Mae (Bailey) Harper, Sr. Having resided in Vidor for eight years, he was a retired general contractor. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

 

Survivors include his children, Sue Westerterp and her husband Bill of Kountze, Kathy Hamed and her husband Abdel of San Antonio, Will T. Harper, III and his wife Rebecca of Meeker, and Katie Knapp and her husband Bret of Thicket; brothers, Walter “Stinky” Harper and his wife Louise of Whitehouse, Leonard “Butch” Harper and his wife Claudia of Warren, and Pat Harper and his wife Sandy of Vidor; sister, Earline Miller and her husband Dan of Pt. Neches; grandchildren, Courtney Royce McMillan, Adam Hamed, Evan Harper, and Brooks Harper; and his special friend and caregiver, Liz Yeager of Vidor. 

 

A committal service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2011, at Mansfield Cemetery in Vidor under the direction of Broussard’s in Kountze.
