Dudley William Bryant, Jr.
October 23, 1927 - April 9, 2011

Dudley William Bryant, Jr., 83, of Nederland died April 9, 2011 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.  Born October 23, 1927 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dudley was the son of Evelyn Wissel Bryant and Dudley William Bryant, Sr. and was a United States World War II Army veteran. After over forty years as a stillman with Texaco, he retired.  Dudley was a charter member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and was a beloved Nederland Bulldog fan and avid Cowboy fan.  He was loved by everyone.

 

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Martin Childress Bryant of Nederland; daughters, Carolyn Childress of Nederland, Deborah Bryant of Houston, Darlene Gladden and her husband Johnny of Groves, Diana Beckham and her husband Kevin of Katy, Dolores Hussey and her husband Douglas of Nederland, and Donna Kame and her husband Herb of Groves; adopted daughter, Kristy Witek of Nederland; sisters, Alice Lisenby of Port Neches and Gertrude Jenkins of Groesbeck; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and two four-legged children, Zeb and Mollie.

 

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2011 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2711 Helena Avenue, Nederland followed by burial at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday evening, April 10, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church.
