Annie Bellard Sattler

Annie Bellard Sattler, 89, of Nederland, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011.  Born July 26, 1921, in Churchpoint, Louisiana to Odelia Matt and Albert Bellard, she was a resident of the area since 1943.  Annie was devoted to her family and her faith above all else.  She enjoyed crocheting and playing cards with other seniors in the group.  All that knew her were aware of the fact that if she took her shoes off, she was ready to go home.

Annie is survived by her children, Harold Sattler and his wife Joyce of Corpus Christi, Jimmy Sattler and his wife Frances of Orange, Shelley Sattler and his wife Debbie of Nederland, Ronnie Sattler and his wife Linda of Wylie, Sharon Wright and her husband Bill of Nederland, Rose Randall of Nederland, and Mike Sattler and his wife Donna of Nederland; eighteen grandchildren; forty-five great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and brother, Mark Bellard of Lake Charles.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Austin Willie Sattler; and parents.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 9, 2011, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 130 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, with burial to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland.   A gathering of her family and friends will be Friday, April 8, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., at Broussard’s.
