Pearl Reeves Barclay, 88, of Beaumont, died Friday, April 1, 2011, at Woodville Heath and Rehabilitation. Born August 23, 1922, in Oberlin, Louisiana, to Isaac Benjamin and Lily Apalonia Gilly Reeves, she was a resident of the Beaumont area for many years. She worked as a secretary for Employers Insurance of Texas and served in the United States Navy.
Survivors include her children, Beth Anne Barclay, Steve Barclay, and Tommy Barclay and his wife Julie; and grandchildren, Darrell Rankin, Jennifer Barclay, Brad Barclay, Andy Barclay, and Charlie Barclay.
Her graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 4, 2011, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will be 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, April 3, 2011, at Broussard’s.
