Paul Edwin Martin, 62, of Groves, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011, at his home surrounded by family and friends. Born July 5, 1948 in Orange to H. Paul and Claudia Martin, Paul had lived most of his life in the Golden Triangle. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1966, and worked construction, as an insulator with Asbestos Workers Local 22. Paul was a loving and caring husband, father, brother and friend to many and will be truly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Martin of Groves; sons, Jason Martin and his wife Sara and Randy Patterson; mother, Claudia Miller; brother, Ralph Martin and his wife Marianne; grandchildren, Ava and Chloe Martin; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Paul is preceded in death by his father, H. Paul Martin.
His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00p.m.until 8:00p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Broussard’s.
