William Richards Robey

William Richards Robey, 74, of Sour Lake died Sunday, March 20, 2011, at his residence.  He was born September 28, 1936, in Augusta, Georgia to John Maurice and Regina (Richards) Robey.  A resident of Sour Lake since 1996, he was a retired meteorologist technician with the National Weather Bureau.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. William was a member of the Elks Lodge in Beaumont, and Knights of Columbus and American Legion both in Sour Lake.   Survivors include his wife, Grace Ann Robey of Sour Lake; sons, William J. Robey and Louis Michael Robey both of Sour Lake; and numerous other relatives and friends.   A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 210 W. Barkley, Sour Lake under the direction of Broussard’s in Kountze.
