Duffy Lee Segura, 78, of Stowell died March 13, 2011, at his residence.

 

A native of Galveston he was born June 19, 1932, and had lived in the Bolivar area all his life. He was a retired Boat Captain with Otis Engineering and was a veteran of the United States Army.

 

Duffy is survived by his wife, Joyce Segura of Winnie; sons, Roy Lee Segura and his wife Barbara and Chuck Segura all of Dallas, Tony Bowen and his wife Carol of Clarksville, Tennessee, Leonard Segura and his wife Cindy of League City, Robert Dan Segura, Sr. and his wife Rina of Galveston; daughters, Shellie Ann Nations and her husband, Dennis of Winnie and Linda Sue Green and her husband Steve of Manassas, Virginia; grandchildren, Robert Dan Segura, Jr., Katrina Gonzalez, Ashley Segura, Randi Pinder, Amber Segura, Lynn Anthony Harris, Jamie Nations, and Alexis Greene; great-grandchildren, Erin Gonzalez, Rayln Lee Segura, Jenna Gozalez, Maxxen Lee Smith and Kenley Pinder; brothers, Larry Segura of Crystal Beach and Jimmy Segura and his wife Marjorie of Vidor; sisters, Dot Miller and her husband Bill of Santa Fe, Lilly Mae Overton of League City, and Ferry Lyn Arnold of Port Bolivar and numerous relatives and friends.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2011, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 W. Buccaneer Drive with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 w. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie. A gathering of his family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Broussard’s a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
