Arthur Fletcher Scott, 69, of Nederland, died Monday, February 14, 2011. A lifelong resident of the area, he was born March 12, 1941, to Ola Mae Denmon Scott and Edwin Theodore Scott.
Arthur was a retired operations manager from Sears Roebuck and Company with thirty-five years of service. He was past president of Port Arthur Bass Club and had fished with them until 1992.
Arthur is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Alice Scott of Nederland; daughters, Terry Robin and her husband Robert, Tina Vidalier, Anita Infante, Rhonda Crim and her husband Ronald, Sr. and their families, all of Nederland; sisters, Betty Gold of Lipan, Vivian Spell of Groves, Carolyn Dixon of Nederland; brother, Bruce Scott of Winnie; ten grandchildren, Jennifer Neisom, Sharayena Robin, Amber Thibodeaux, Tiffany Vidalier, Scotty Vidalier, Hannah Vidalier, Brittany Infante, Ashley Lofton, Amanda Crim and Ronnie Crim, Jr.; eleven great grandchildren, Alexandra Faulkner, Logan Faulkner, Brendon Robin, Kaytlyn Robin, Joseph Robin, Kaidon Thibodeaux, Kylah Thibdoeaux, Tia Greer, Tryton Glen, Cali Crim and Chloe Crim; and his 14 year old beloved black Labrador, Keno.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ola Mae and Edwin Scott; and his brother, Donald Scott.
His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2011, at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland with burial to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at Broussard’s.
