Joyce Guillory Park, 79, of Pine Ridge, died Friday, February, 11, 2011, at her home. Born February 2, 1932, in Orangefield, she was the daughter of Theophile and Clotile Arabie Guillory, and she was a lifelong resident of the area.
Her survivors include her husband, Doyle Park of Pine Ridge; son, Jimmy Park and his wife Judy of Pine Ridge; daughters, Carolyn LeGros and her husband Jeffrey and Sandy Taggart and her husband David all of Pine Ridge; six grandchildren, Jessica Thatcher and her husband Mickey, Trey Park and his wife Elizabeth, Suzanne Williamson and her husband Randy, Ryan LeGros, Amanda Long and her husband Logan, and Charlie Taggart; and six great-grandchildren, Sarah Thatcher, Jillian Sawyer, Sophia Thatcher, Osiris Park, Zachary Williamson, and Marissa Williamson.
She is preceded in death by her parents and eleven brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 14, 2011, at Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 243 South LHS Drive, Lumberton, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering will begin at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 13, 2011, with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., at Broussard’s.
