Marie Perkins, 78, of Beaumont, died Thursday, January 20, 2011, at Christus Hosptial St. Elizabeth in Beaumont. A native of Meeker, she was born November 4, 1932, to Merida Jagneaux and Oscar Foux. Marie was a loving mother and grandmother, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Beaumont.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Jane Yancey and her husband Jerry of China and Connie Marie Hartt of Beaumont;; grandchildren, Jesse Yancey and his wife Dana of Lumberton, Brian Yancey of Lewisville, Wesley Yancey and Melanie Lee both of Beaumont and Ashley Hartt and her fiancé David Anderson of Fort Worth; great-grandson, Dylan Yancey; sister, Carrie Miller of Rose City; sisters-in-law, Velma Foux of China, Helen Perkins of Corrigan, Mildred Foux of Beaumont and , Betty Perkins of Corrigan; brother-in-law, Dan Arledge; and sister in Christ, Dorothy Landrum.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of forty-nine years, Elmer Perkins; son-in-law, Barry L. Hartt, two brothers and five sisters.
Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 23, 2011, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with burial to follow at China Cemetery. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2011, at Broussard’s.
