Frank Phelps, 77, of Winnie, died Friday, January 14, 2011, at his residence.
A life long resident of Winnie, Frank was a retired mechanic with Keating Chevrolet. Frank was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and trapping alligators.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Phelps of Winnie; sons, Melvin Keith Phelps of Winnie and Frank “Bubba” Phelps, Jr. and his wife Sheri of Hankamer; sister, Marie Reagan of Winnie; grandchildren, Ben and Sarah Phelps and numerous relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 17, 2011, at Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive, in Winnie with burial in Fairview Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Broussard’s.
