Patricia "Pat" Ann Perkins

Patricia Ann “Pat” Perkins, 74, of Vidor died Thursday, January 6, 2011, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.  Pat was born October 22, 1936 in Graham, Texas to Charlie Hiram and Rhoneta Faye (McDonald) Brown.  A resident of Vidor since 1969, Pat was a 1955 graduate of Nederland High School and was a member of First Church of God in Beaumont where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Bible Study Fellowship. She enjoyed bowling and golf and was a member of Texas Woman’s Bowling League.  A retired secretary of twenty-five years, her first job was with Davidson Materials and later on with Transit Mix and Nordrill.

 

Survivors include her high school sweetheart and devoted and loving husband of fifty-four years, Dorman Doyle “D.D.” Perkins of Vidor; mother, Rhoneta Faye Brown of Beaumont; daughters, Debra Page and her husband John of San Antonio and Sheri Perkins of Vidor; sister, Rita Harris; brothers, Ronald Brown and Charlie Mack Brown; five grandchildren, Dr. Jason Page, Jared Page, Erica Stanbrough, Jacob Stanbrough, and Calvin Kelly; and three great grandchildren, Alec Page, Nathan Page, and Samuel Page.

 

She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie H. Brown.

 

Her memorial service will be 5:00 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2011, at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland with Reverend Gary Hammons officiating. 

 

The family expresses their appreciation to the nursing staff at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont for their excellent care and compassion.
