He was born August 9, 1945, in Crowley, Louisiana to Mary Fontenot and Charles Sidney Lewis.  Benjamin was a retired general manager from Chemax Corporation in Beaumont.

He is survived by his wife, Pam Lewis of Beaumont; brother, Charlie Lewis of Crowley, Louisiana; nephew, Benjamin Lewis and his wife Gina of Crowley, Louisiana; great niece, Sydnie Lewis; and great nephew, Alex Lewis both of Crowley, Louisiana. 

A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
