Gardlene Trahan Bollich, 72, of Winnie, died Monday, January 3, 2011, at the Methodist Hospital in Houston.
A native of Gueydan, Louisiana and a resident of Winnie for sixty-three years, Gardlene was the former owner of the Garland Flower Shop in Winnie. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, crocheting, and cooking for family and friends.
Gardlene is survived by her loving husband, Hal Bollich, of Winnie; sons, Marlon Culbreath of Winnie and Wolfgang Bollich of Austin; daughters, Carmen Lee and her husband Joe of Winnie, and Jill Bollich of Houston; sister, Myrna Breaux and her husband Mason of Winnie; grandchildren, Amber Nevils, Kerri Lee, Brandi DeYoung, Amanda Culbreath, Patrick Culbreath and Jerimiah Culbreath; great grandchildren, Rhett Nevils, Damean DeYoung and Destiny DeYoung; and numerous relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vivian Trahan Besch and Famon Trahan; and brothers, Gordon Trahan and Gene Trahan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011, at St Louis Catholic Church, 315 W. Buccaneer Drive, with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Broussard’s.
