Joyce Mae Smith, 71, of Beaumont, died January 2, 2011, at The Oaks in Beaumont.
She was born April 30, 1039, in Canton, Texas to Ora Mae Phillips and Carnelius Kelly. Joyce was a retired cashier manager from Fertitta’s Grocery, and enjoyed fishing and working in her yard.
She is survived by her husband of nineteen years, Kelvin Smith of Beaumont; brother-in-law, David Smith and his wife Nora of China.
Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at China Cemetery. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at Broussard’s.
