Curtis Elbert Taylor, 90, of Shiro, Texas died Thursday, December 30, 2010, at Fortress Health and Rehab in College Station, Texas. Curtis was born November 18, 1920, in Fayette, Alabama. He was a retired Chief Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Charline Taylor of Shiro; sons, Ronald Taylor of Houston and Jerry Lee of Sour Lake; four step-sons; one step-daughter; grandchildren, Jason Taylor and Allison Taylor; and numerous other relatives and friends.
His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 1, 2011, at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze with Reverend Clarence Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Sour Lake. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
